Welcome to the Dobroyd Point P&C Association.  We currently have about fifty members, mainly parents, who have fun and work hard to enrich the lives of the DPPS students.  Involvement in the P&C enables you to participate in the planning and funding of programs and facilities at DPPS as well as providing a chance for you to have your say.  You're always welcome at a P&C meeting, held the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7.30 in the staffroom.

Your P&C has a tradition of providing opportunities not only for fundraising but for community building activities too.  Some things we do just because they're fun.

Your P&C currently

  • Established and maintains this website
  • Runs Out of School Hours Care (OOSHC)
  • Runs the (healthy) School Canteen
  • Runs the Uniform Store
  • Organises The Bay Run
  • Hosts the Annual Welcome Picnic
  • Organises the annual Trivia Night
  • Runs before school chess coaching
  • Involves our kids in an inter-school chess competition
  • Funds the reading assistance program
  • Funds activities for book week
  • Runs the school disco
  • Purchased three electronic whiteboards for classrooms

Some years we also have a fete.  Just to break things up.

Most of these activities are organised through your P&C's subcommittees.  They are:

Canteen Subcommittee (includes the Uniform Store)

OOSHC Subcommittee
Need quality care for your child outside of school hours?  The OOSHC team do it.  All of this takes organisation, planning and input from our families.  If you'd like to get involved with this service, contact Natalie.  If you'd like to use this service, contact the centre's director, Santina Pacicca.

The Bay Run Subcommittee
The Bay Run is our major annual fundraiser and is held on the first Sunday in August.  It is a 7k professional fun run around Iron Cove.  It is bigger than Ben Hur, involving just as many people - and their dogs.  The subcommittee works really hard to bring it all together on the day.  They meet regularly from March through until September.  Enquiries, call Allison Fredericks on 9799 8312.
